- 2008-06-10 10:12:19 - Just updated the backend User Authentication component, everything seems to have upgraded fine, so no visible changes here. - Aevum Decessus
- 2008-06-10 10:27:35 - This is fairly important news. I will be working on email authentication for user accounts, and as soon as I have that set up and working, I will be resetting the user database table, so everyone who has an account on the beta site will be required to re-create them, and to authenticate them through the (hopefully working) email authentication system. I will update again as soon as I have more information on a date for this. - Aevum Decessus
- 2008-06-11 18:41:52 - Yay! I have a token-generation algorithm, and a working token->activation function working beautifully now! As soon as I can figure out how to send the link in an email, the user reset will occur, I'll give everyone 24 hrs. notice on this when it occurs! - Aevum Decessus
- 2008-06-13 19:28:53 - I've gotten so I can email now......just with a blank body and a blank subject, but a marked improvement on no emails whatsoever. - Aevum Decessus
- 2008-06-14 09:39:17 - I mentioned working on an RSS feed a bit back, and it's all working now.....You can access the updates RSS feed (only one for right now) right about http://beta.aevumdecessus.com/updates.rss <-There - Aevum Decessus
- 2008-06-14 11:55:50 - I have temporarily disabled the saving of new signups. This is so that I have the opportunity to test out the new signup process, especially the email part without inserting bunches of new user accounts into the database. Once I get this up and working, I will initiate the user-database reset I mentioned previously, and re-enable signups. - Aevum Decessus

I totally just posted a question to a public space and copy-pasted my code into there, to see if anyone could get it to work....and totally forgot to blank out my password.
I needed to change that password anyways, now I just got to do it in a hurry, so it's changed wherever I used it.
Just a reminder to everyone who has code with sensitive information in it Always check your copy-paste! I can't emphasize this enough! - Aevum Decessus - 2008-06-17 09:48:23 - Something I didn't notice until now, but with upgrading the authentication component, I hadn't noticed that it didn't completely remove the Session variable, so my logged-in check wasn't working anymore. This has since been fixed, and now layouts properly show up based on logged-in status. - Aevum Decessus
- 2008-06-19 02:23:05 - This is an important update! I finally figured out how to/actually did move over the entire website from beta.aevumdecessus.com to the top-level domain @ aevumdecessus.com This effects a few different things, the primary being that from now on(when I get to it), the beta site will be restricted only to those users who are on the testing team or higher. This won't go into effect till I get it done, but that is the eventual plan. Beta site will have more frequent tests/changes, while the main site will have regular updates implemented on at least a weekly basis. I will update more when more of this is ready to be implemented/has been implemented. - Aevum Decessus

Ok, with the merging over of the beta site onto the main site, there are some pretty major changes. I've gone ahead and merged the old history updates with the beta site updates, so now the updates page is 7 pages long instead of 4, and you can go back and look over all of my updates from when I first got hosting set up in the first place. Also, a lot of the updates from before the change-over to the beta site are no longer relevant, but they're there to stay, mostly for keepsakes sake, and so I keep all of my records :-P
The beta site updates are now going to be separate from the main site updates, as those are going to be changed on a much more frequent basis, while the updates here will be on a more regular schedule, thinking once a week for major changes, but we'll see how it all works. - Aevum Decessus
